How Do I Drive Sales Fast to My E-Commerce Website

Hi all,

I have just started a company, and well, I built a website for that. The site was built using woocommerce plugin, and an e-commerce theme.

Here is the site, Tie Clip Master

I did not change the theme much, other than adding my own logo, and creating a favicon for it. The site was up and running since late August if I remember correctly.

My site sells "tie clips". Well, as I am on a shoe string budget, some of the photos might not look good. Of course I intend to change them in future, once I get some stable cash rolling in. Bounce rate is about 36%.

Wrote some blog entries, and also got myself a twitter account (TieClipMaster) and FB page (Tie Clip Master) for that site. I did some so called social engagement on twitter, and managed to drive a little traffic traffic, not much.

So here comes the problem. Up till now, I am unable to generate any sales. I just don't know how to drive traffic the fastest way possible to that site. As such, I bought an SEO service from this forum last week, and they are currently working on the SEO portion.

But still, how can I make sales as soon as possible? Your advices are appreciated. Oh constructive comments please.

First of all, you need to optimize the wordpress setup. It takes 5 seconds to fully load the site, which is a bit longer.

The fastest way to get direct sales with a new site is to place ads in search engines, like Google adwords. It will general sales very soon if you properly set it up. However, it is a bit costly.

Another way to gain quick sales is email marketing. There are a number mail list sellers out there, buy a list for your niche and start off your email campaign. Make sure the list is big enough, a list with a hundreds of mails is just a waste of time. This is also pretty effective for selling products online.

Or you can buy direct traffic from related forums or blogs, it works, too.

I have just done improving the response time. However, I could only get it till 69/100. That's the best I could, unless if I oversee some other stuff. I hope it loads faster at your end too.

Adwords is the quickest -but be careful because you can lose your shirt if you don't know what you're doing. Perry Marshall is the master here so Google him.

    Hello,
What I think that is your site is complete but not that much eye catchy. So I will suggest that,

    1. remove the extra links like left side the big logo.
    2. Make more better design and your image should be more clear.
    3. make the url more user friendly and then use unique keyword and description.
    4. promote the site into several fashion blog.
    5. and wait for some days as the business is just started.

    Thanks
    Mahmud

    Things to consider:

*I suggest you hire someone from ''Warriors for Hire'' to do keyword research for your niche.
*Proper On Site Page SEO - will help Search engines understand more about your site.
    * Hire a good SEO service to be working on creating backlinks, increase domain authority, social signals, tweaking site etc (I know that good SEO can cost money, but if you are serious about your business you need to invest in order to get ROI).
*Your site has potential, but as a newbie (new site) you need some sort of a Trust Seal i.e. Truste get, an SSL Certificate, if accepting Credit cards get PCI Complaint get quarterly scans i.e. Trust-Guard is a good cheap solution.
    * Optimize your site to be compatible with most mobiles and other devices.
Bottom line: I presume Your niche's customers are mostly white collar professionals so you must show that you as well are a professional as well in terms of security, privacy and providing a safe place to purchase. Concentrate on the foundation of your business and then go hunting for customers.
You need to be the Gentleman's Gentleman at the end of the day that's what you are all about + what you need to be working on.

I wish you all the best for your new business :-)

Starting out a new business will always be slowed at first. Focus on tracking and testing to ensure the visitors to your site will actually convert to customer. Having a phone number displaced will increase confidence in your buyers as well (google phone works well). The site design seems a little static for me IMO. Test different design and see. Having a good unique description will definitely increase your conversion. Let them perceived how your offer is better than other competitors.

I would suggest making the pictures all the same look, it really swings me off when i load up a page and all the pictures are very different,

    NoVae Apparel here Novae Apparel

You see the "HAT COLLECTION" images, i suggest putting something like those in maybe "BUNDLE OFFER 5 FOR £50" etc

Nice site, clean, easy to navigate. Once completed you should be good to sail with this one at least if you got everything sorted before the holiday season.

Your site looks great! How did you take those photos? What tools did you use? And how much does it cost to take those kind of photos? Mine was, I used a spoilt (spoilt less than a week, and it cost $100!) mini photography set, and a Lumia 800 camera. Totally on a shoe string budget. Laugh!

You should display your tie clips on actual ties on a a really nice suit. Your site ahould look clean and crisp. Also look at your colour scheme as blue and orange doesn't speak smart suit.

I would like to give you a free copy of my WSO (link in my sig) - shoot me a PM when you get this message. I think the strategy points I cover in the book will help you get into the right mindset. Traffic isn't what you need right now ... anyway, no strings attached and no "funnel" to try to get you to buy something else, I just think I can help get you thinking about this the right way.
