Which domain to use?

Hello Everyone,

After realising that the reason why my new site won't rank well (not even for the keywords in its name) is due to its newness being a little less than a month old.

I decided to purchase two additional closeout expired domains. But, I am uncertain which to use for my website as the main domain. Should I use a 10 year old domain with a moz domain authority of 11 and pr of 2. Or an 8 year old domain with a moz domain authority of 22 and pr of 2 and a dmoz listing.

This is for a kids related website with 2 million search results but yet competitive.

I would appreciate greatly any experienced advice.

    Hi Christine,

    There is no real way anyone we can give you a definitive answer. However I would probably recommend a domain that is inline with your product and/or is brandable. If you're trying to start out with getting sales from SEO in a highly competitive industry then you likely have an expensive and long road ahead. I've had good results with product comparison sites and PPC.

    best thing to do is just test..which of those kw domains work the best ..also take some for future referent..

    Since they are about equal, go for name recognition, a domain that is easier to remember. Then build your traffic through PPC and other direct sources, such as Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter social marketing.
