Does anyone here use the Amazon Web Store(s)? I have a few websites that I was thinking about converting to Amazon webstores, since I do the majority of my business on Amazon. Any experience? Pros / Cons? How customizable is it? Are the templates any good?

Hi Andrew, I've heard the customisation of the store is pretty easy and robust and obviously its integration into the Amazon ecosystem is fairly seamless, but double-check the fees and see if it's worthwhile overall.

One feature that it seems to work really well for is SEO—your products get found much better through search.

If you mainly sell on Amazon, it does seem like a natural fit for you but as I said, just add up all those fees before jumping in!!

Thanks for the reply - I'll double check the fee's. I guess it depends on how much volume I sell through the sites, b/c I would still have Amazon's fee's, but not my hosting, SSL, etc fees.
Good to know about the SEO. That makes sense.
    Thanks!

If you are looking for an easy and basic online store, Amazon Webstore is pretty decent and has good SEO options (as mentioned above).

Also, if you have any designing skills, you can make it very professional looking and a bit more advanced.

Its also good because it supports Amazon payments that a lot of customers are familiar with.

The negative thing about that is their A to Z guarantee. A few of your customers open these and your webstore will not last long. Their are some customers that take advantage of this and open this claim to get a free item, pretty much.

Overall, its a good platform for an online store.

Thanks TheRankedReview!I sell a lot on Amazon now, so I am familiar with the A-Z guarantee. I also have 5 websites, but they do very little business. So, I was thinking about the Amazon webstores, so that I could save on the hosting fees, etc.

I think it's a useful product, I've used it before however I'd probably still choose another hosted cart like Shopify or BigCommerce to save on fees. You get a little bit more flexibility with these other services in regards to layout and integrations also.

I wonder if all the benefits hold true now that Amazon have introduced product ads. Has anyone dipped their toe into this to help drive traffic back to their own webstore now?
