Not sure if this is the right topic, couldnt find one that fits better.

Just curious how you quote for website builds, exact numbers aren't necessary just an idea will be good. Need to figure out a set process to use.

Bare minimum I charge is $1k to build a website for a business. If they require more than 5 pages, then each additional page is $150. They provide most of the content and images or at lease provide a location to find similar content to build off of.

This is for a wordpress website with template. Custom jobs range from $2500-$8,000 on average (5 page websites)

I suggest you find a bare minimum for your market and price accordingly Set up a Google spreadsheet or excel spreadsheet and start building your pricing so you can quote on command. It will make things easier. As you start to outsource, make sure to add on for those expenses.

The last thing I do is mention that I am going to "throw in" a free keyword research and optimize their website (on page) for search... It doesn't cost me much more since i'm outsourcing.

I would also pair it with a free video showing them the number of visitors they could potentially get if they had me do their SEO as well (upsell!)

I know I got a bit off topic, but I hope this helps

Depends generally where you want to place yourself in the market.

In my area I sit just below the average price at about £550-£600 for a basic 5 page Wordpress site. £1000 for e-Commerce.

A good way is to email around all your competitors and get rough prices for something, and then go from there.
