ECOMMERCE

Hey, who here is familiar with Woocommerce? I'm having a tough time figuring this all out.

Is there a feature where if a person is from a certain place, they would have to contact us first before they send $$ ? Because different countries/states have different shipping prices.

I would like to know what's the best option to this.

Why don't you just get the code from your shipper that you can add to your website, which allows you to add the shipping price depending on location to the price of the product. This is what all online stores do, and will look 100X more professional.

Your idea (make customers call to get shipping prices) is not going to be good for conversions and it's very customer unfriendly. Most people won't bother to call and will just leave your site.

A better idea would be to come up with 1 or 2 lists of countries and come up with rates that cover most situations.

Tyrannis is right. You should use something like auto calculating shipping price plugin. You may look at something like this WordPress › WooCommerce Calculate Shipping Button « WordPress Plugins . It will be very helpful for customer.

I believe what you're after is a plugin called table rate shipping.. that's what you use to determine shipping price by geographic location.
