Hello fellow warriors, I am going to setup another ecommerce site but was thinking of going the wordpress woocommerce route this time instead of bigcommerce. Since I havent used wordpress ecom before I wanted to get a breakdown of what I would be looking at cost wise to get it going. your input is appreciated

so far I have spent
Domain 10 bucks
hosting around 100 a year
SSL 70 bucks ?
nice woo commerce store template 55 bucks

what else is needed to have a fully functional store.

thank you

    Hi,

You might also need a plugin to accept payment (other Tham PayPal).

And don't forget to secure the site when Done.

    Good luck!

    Cheers

You do not need anything more. Theme is the most important part.

You have everything in place except maybe graphics and content in where needed.

It would also attract additional cost if you won't be doing the knotting yourself, maybe around $50 to $100 depending on the individual.

Basically, you need the domain, hosting, theme, and whatever extensions you might use. If you use authorize.net as your Gateway, you do not need SSL or if you use just Paypal as your payment processor, you do not need SSL.

interesting what do you think about using Paypal as the only payment option then? I was planning to use paypal and stripe but if I can get away without getting an SSL then even better.

I use Paypal except when I have products that they don't authorize, then I use a merchant account with authorize.net as the Gateway and don't need an SSL, since the Gateway provides that function.

Maybe a around $100 bucks more on graphics (Unless you can take care of that yourself). The only additional cost would probably be integrating the two (WP+WooCommerce) unless you can do that as well. Have you heard of Ecwid? I use it as a shopping cart for all my ecommerce sites.

WP and WooCommerce are already integrated. WooCommerce was built for WP
