I'm glad to find this site.

I'm currently do retail and wholesale at offline.
And I want to make e-commerce sites for my current business.

I have little knowledge of PHP(I studied many years ago, but forgot most of it. However I could restudy), and little knowledge of photoshop, ect)
I majored in computer science 10 years ago, so I have little sense about this thing

I found magento go is not too expensive and have many functions, and looks good.
However, I have seen many posts that magento is not for newbie.

So, I'm little confused because magento-go is ready-to go platform, right?

This is what I thought.
1. buy template or just use one of their free template.
2. Update default info to my actual info(company name, address, logo,..ect)
3. Upload products images and desc.
4. Setting that I have to do.
5. Ready to go

Are there something that I have to know about PHP, or magento frameworks things to do??

And, does magento-go support level of price for level of customers?
ex, $4 for public, $3 for whole seller.

Please, recommend any other commerce site for my purpose if magento-go is not the best one, which support multi store.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

You can opt for Magento community version it supports multi store. Magento is not that hard unless you are doing heavy customization.

      Thank you for the reply.

Ah,, I didn't know that magento go is not for multi stores...
      However, I'm OK for a e commerce platform which doesn't support multi-stores.
      If support multi-stores, it's better.

By the way, Regarding magento community,

I saw below description for MC and MG on the web.

      Magneto Go – small businesses
Magento Enterprise Edition – mid-large size businesses
Magento Community Edition – developers and tech-savvy merchants

      and
Compare Magento Community vs Magento Go

Although I have little experience with php, I forgot most of it.
And I want to avoid to re-study those things as possible.
I like to use ready to go platform with very few customization.
Of course, if advantage is more than my effort, I'm willing to spend my time. but not too much.

I think magento community version is hard to configure.
And It may takes much time to make secure, and get more functions and features.
      Am I right?
      I haven't used magento, so I don't know well.

I found below sentences too on the web.

"Due to the popularity of Magento it has become an interesting target for hackers and other criminal minds. A problem that you can overcome, but just be aware of it."

Is magento(go, community, enterprise) safe from hacker?

I would go with Magento CE over Go. Too limited, and you buy in to their services. With the Community Edition you will have more flexibility. Magento has not had any security vulnerabilities since the very first beta versions, so I wouldn't be too concerned about that. Many large businesses trust on Magento, and for a reason. Can't say the same for other open-source apps, such as Wordpress, etc. Of course, as with any website it is important that your server is properly hardened.
