    Greetings!

I'm no video expert, but some relevant information to help you get a better answer might be what OS are you using (Win, Mac, Linux, etc.). Also, what is the raw video type (MP4, AVI, FLV, etc.) you want to edit before the upload? Also, what is it (time/content edits, enhancements, special effects, re-size, etc.) that you are trying to accomplish?

I use a PC for almost everything I do online, but I use a Mac for most of video and graphic work because... That's a whole different topic. But with some more information on your video needs I will try to help you locate something that will work for your project and and your budget (there are some decent free programs out there, just depends on your needs.)

My favorite video editor and screen recorder is camtasia. It does all the things I need when editing a video such as splitting videos, adding videos, audio, animations, text, and a ton more features.

This would be a better question for the social media forum but I used screenflow and it works perfectly fine for me. It's mac only unfortunately.

What kind of system are you using? Also, what kind of video are we talking?

If we're talking about video with footage you've already got...one of the system-standard editing suites might be perfect for what you're trying to accomplish.

Very simple, no-frills editing for short little movies can be easily done in something like iMovie or Windows Movie Maker. Both have interfaces that are pretty intuitive and relatively easy to figure out, even if you don't really know a whole lot about editing.

If you're looking to do something more specific or specialized, there might be a better solution. You're more than welcome to PM me for more info.

    Hi directimports3,

The market is full of video editing tools and each one his its own unique features. You can use anyone one of them which suit your requirements, but personally I am die hard fan of "Camtasia" which is the best video editing tool I have found ever!

Hope you will find it useful too if give it a try!

    Regards,

Non-linear, user friendly, semi-easy to absorb provided you have a basic knowledge of standard interface / functions = Sony Vegas Pro.

Got to agree with Vegas but as far as the original OP's request for something "easy" to use they all take some learning but if you're into it, it's a fun and useful skill to learn. I use Camtasia to do all my zoom and pan (easier for me) then export as full quality avi to import into Vegas to add lower thirds, multiple audio tracks (such as speech and music) and Vegas' rendering and export settings are pro-level.

I used Bill Myers guides as they are among the best in the business. He's such a great teacher. All his private lessons and he's got a lot of great business ideas as well cost just $10 a month (I'm not an affiliate) which is a bargain.

Here's his YouTube channel --> guerillabill - YouTube

Here's a sample of his teaching style...

      A good teacher is essential.

For actually "editing" video, it really depends on the source and output. For Youtube videos, I'd use either Adobe Premiere CS or Final Cut Pro.

A lot of these suggestions have nothing to do with editing video.

I just use iMovie with my mac and I used Movie Maker when I had windows.

It's good enough, although not professional. My Youtube channel is www.youtube.com/johnnyj3n if you want some examples.

You'll find dozens of tools, each suitable for different skill set. I have been using Pinnacle studio to edit some wedding videos that I took. I also use Camtesia studio. Both are great softwares IMHO
