Autoupdate E-Commerce Site

So I am looking to get an E-Commerce up and running that will auto populate with products since I work full time job and do not have enough time to do both. Products do not need to be drop ship and can be Amazon or whatever (although drop ship would be nice).

I have signed up for a free membership with Wholesale2b but would like to look at other options as well before I give them any money. Can anyone recommend a good product for this? I will also be mixing in some of my own products that I have access to and have been selling on eBay.

Does Magento support a data feed to import products?

You can use auto feature by using API but you need customization.

If you can't budget an hour a day to work on your ecommerce site then you are probably better off not doing it at all. There are ways to automate the process but about 10,000 other people are using wholesale2b trying to sell the same products, undercutting each other assuming they are even getting good pricing.

Your best bet is to spend your time, defining your niche, contacting the appropriate suppliers, then choosing a cart that works for you. After you get a hang of it, then there are tools to automate the process.

Most shopping carts allow for automation directly or through third party vendors but unless you define your market, it won't do you much good. I would never suggest Magento for someone staring out.

If you want something automated, you are better off doing some kind of amazon affiliate store then running your own ecommerce site.

Since you don't have enough time to spend on a store adding products and stuff -- try selling on Amazon and Ebay. It'll get your feet wet and earn you a profit. You can go small scale and grow as needed.

Like the others said -- automatic e-commerce is something hard to find and normally done by those who have been in ecommerce for awhile.

    Best of luck.

I can definitely allow for a few hours a day it's just not something I can commit to FULL time.

Unfortunately I have been banned from eBay, I was making a killing for awhile. Amazon just hasn't worked the same for me I'm not sure if my items just aren't coming up in searches or what.

I have a decent amount of traffic coming in however trying to get them to purchase via PayPal is tough. I figure if I have a full legitimate E-commerce site to send them to they may be more likely to buy but I would also need to fill the site up with other products.

This product looked interesting but not sure how well it works, anyone heard of it or have any experience with it? http:// covertstorebuilder . com/

If you're looking for something that will keep your inventory synced and automated, I might have a good solution for you.

Multi Vendor eCommerce | Multi Vendor eCommerce Platform Solid Commerce

Not only will it keep everything automated and up-to-date for you, but it'll sync your inventory between your webstore and your marketplace selling accounts (like Amazon).

Without knowing too much about the size of your operation, it seems like this might be a good fit for you. You're more than welcome to PM me if you want to talk a bit further.

        Hope this helps!

        _ Sean

I like Xenia WP plugin that can generate plenty of products from Amazon and rank a store with longtail keywords without any SEO and marketing work.

Do you have a link for that? I plugged it into G and got nothing but results about VoIP and phone. Searching the Wordpress plugin site came back with nothing either.

I realize there are quite a few WP E-commerce plugins out there but the problem is that I only have a small amount of my own products to sell so I need other items to fill up the site so it doesn't look empty. The other benefit is that if they decide not to buy one of my products that brought them to the site, something else may catch their eye and create a sale.

Yes sure, there is a seller on Flippa called XeniaLike who is selling such websites or you can visit their own marketplace xeniasites.com/website/

If you don't have that many items to sell, then you may want to re-consider setting up a full e-commerce shopper style site, and just focus on your own products.

Having a lot of products around your own is just going to distract people from buying - better to 'go deep' with your own products in my opinion.

Amazon affiliate has worked for several people but requires marketing, I know an individual who made over $700 with one DVD website, premium domain worth $500 on the market. Could not stand having the site and costs, so he sold it for $75 bucks.

Best alternative is to go with a drop shipping company that offers automated websites, I'm planning to see is this service commodity is goods in the market.
