If I purchase a lot of stock for pennies on the $ and want to sell on Amazon which is the best way?

Am I able to ship the items to Amazon and let them deal with all the shipping and they just send me payment each month

or

Do I have to take pics and list it all myself and then ship it myself as I really dont want to do that as I could sell on Ebay with less fees

Thanks in advance

My personal (and semi-lazy/timesaving) would be to ship it to Amazon and let them deal with it. Some people like Amazon Fulfillment when they are buying because it's fast shipping. If you are buying lots of things pennies on the dollar, how much sweat equity do you want to use by taking pictures and listing on EBay, only to have to have the shipping materials on hand and buy the shipping each time? On the flipside, if your product is not listed on Amazon yet, you'll need some credentials with them to create it, and I've personally never been a fan of Amazon fees...Make sure you read the finest print with them and add the costs. Hopefully you've done some market research on these products you want to acquire and can make the wisest decision for yourself.

Lots of folk are talking about FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) and it's worth researching. The fact is though, especially when you scale up, you need warehousing/inventory so the question is; why not learn early on how to deal with it?

The upside of Amazon is, especially with barcoded/branded merchandise, you could make good sales. Ebay gives you another route; especially with unbranded or private label items. Today, there's arguement you should do both, though bear in mind you will need inventory software solutions like Ordoro or something to manage your goods across different marketplaces.

TDLR; You will have to learn warehousing/inventory management, why not start from the beginning and secondly, choose on marketplace to begin with and go from there.

If you want to do FBA for your items, the big questions are:

      Will they sell quickly?

Is the price higher than $15?

Do you want them out of your house?

If you answered 2 out of 3 with a Yes, then go for it.

If 2 out of 3 questions are a No, then don't.

I have been doing FBA for about a year and I am a big fan of that method. Of course some items sell much faster than other. The key is to get inventory that moves quickly at a price that gives you a profit. Assuming the item is already in the Amazon catelog you do not have to do much other than list it and send it to Amazon. You can use camelcamelcamel.com to look up the selling history of most products.

FBA is definitely the way to go in my opinion. I used to fulfill everything myself, but the time vs cost just doesn't make sense. FBA will attract more buyers and ultimately raise your sales volume EVEN if you're selling at a slightly higher price than sellers who are "merchant fulfilling" their stuff.

This just leaves the question: are your products already on Amazon? If so, you've hit a goldmine!

One of the things that I have learned about FBA is that many prime customers will filter their search results so they only view prime items. Non-FBA sellers will NOT even have their items seen when this happens.
