Drop shipping Amazon-Ebay questions

I'd like to drop ship by listing an item on eBay (without having it), then wait for a buyer to buy the item(s), buy the item myself from Amazon for a cheaper price than the one I listed on eBay (of course with a high difference in price so I can make some profit), and then select to send it as a "gift" to the seller via Amazon.

Because I have never sold anything on eBay (even though the account is 3 years old), I want to drop ship only one item at a time every week or so so Paypal won't give me too many restrictions.

I do have some questions, could you guys help me?

When listing the item I want to sell on eBay, is it fine if I use the same picture and the same description from Amazon and use it on eBay? If not, what could be the best "copyright" free alternative to list the item? I could write the description in my own words, but what about the picture? I suppose all pictures on the Internet from the products I want to list on eBay will be copyrighted.

Also, when Amazon sends the item to the seller, I know it will be sent in an Amazon box, and I know that if I select to send it as a "gift" then the receipt won't be included, but how will the tracking information appear to the seller when I give him the tracking number and he looks where the item is online? Will it show that it was sent by Amazon?

Let's say I have success drop shipping (I doubt it, it sounds like a very hard work to do). When will I be able to list, for instance, a hundred items without Paypal giving me too many restrictions? 2-3 months? 6 months?

Those are my only questions. I know I could get my account banned from eBay for drop shipping but I am willing to take the risk. I have read that a lot of people have been doing this FOR YEARS and they still keep selling on eBay without problem. I hope to have the same luck.

I will appreciate any extra advice. Thank you.

Bump. I read it is illegal to use Amazon's pictures and description to list your items on eBay. Where do people get the images then? I suppose many just don't care and upload Amazon's images as their own. Any way to do it the legal way?

You should try the search button and see this thread http://www.warriorforum.com/building...pany-ebay.html

Also if you read in the terms of service it is against Amazons or EBay's policy don't try it ! or you will be asking at a latter date how to get your suspended Amazon or Ebay account back.

I also recommend this system as well, the training is very straightforward and easy to grasp. Dropshipping from Amazon to eBay has been going on for years. Amazon knows it, but good old Jeff Bezos isn't complaining so long as the stock price keeps going up.

Don't worry about suspended accounts, that mess is easy to overcome. Anyone, in the dropshipping game has already blown 4 or 5 easy. If you haven't your not making enough money, or haven't learned the curve.

Just visit the suspended eBay & PayPal forums on Google and you will find the techniques.

Seriously, just to put it out there and normally I never give a specific example, because it just leads to questions and confusion.

During the holidays I sold refurbished Amazon kindles (1st Generation) on eBay for $108.00 + $5.75 in shipping Total $113.75

Amazon was selling them for $74.98 each + free shipping.

Now, I do have a basic store for $19.95 a month.
So the final seller fees are only 4%. Plus 2.9% +.30 from PayPal

After the math was done it came out to a total profit of exactly:

        $113.75 - $7.85 in eBay & PayPal Fees = $105.60 - $74.98 to purchase from Amazon= $30.62
        (x 114) units that I sold was $3,490.68 in... 7 days

And this was just for one of my stores. So I don't want to hear it doesn't work and blah, blah this and that. Make YOUR MONEY!

I have been looking at the possibility also checking out DS domination but very leery of the very small returns. I guess its safe to assume i shouldn't use my Ebay account that i have been using for 15 years that has a 600 rating if i do this?

WOW, you were selling those items that were just first generation? THAT IS SWEET!, I have to connect in due season because I have been selling tablets and have been getting a lot of success with it, but my has a unique twist it that I don't want to say here on this forum publicly.

I should get into selling smartphones more on amazon though or at least ebay. I did it with ebay before and it was a great success.

Ebay says you are supposed to use your own pictures. But look around. There are a lot of copied Amazon images pasted on Ebay. DSD uses an image scrambler to change the image so it is different than the original. You could use photoshop or gimp to do this.

There will be a receipt in the box that says "this is a gift from (your name). But no price will be on it. And as far as I can tell, when you check tracking it shows the facilities and carrier only. You can also put a note in your listing like "item will be fulfilled and shipped by Amazon". Many FBA Amazon sellers ship there own products using Ebay, so in my opion this isn't a problem, unless of course your customers on Ebay start complaining.

Let's say I have success drop shipping (I doubt it, it sounds like a very hard work to do). When will I be able to list, for instance, a hundred items without Paypal giving me too many restrictions? 2-3 months? 6 months?
First, listing this many items on Ebay from Amazon will be a lot of work. First you have to find items that you can compete with on price, then you have to watch price changes at least daily and most times multiple times a day, and you will have to watch the quantities Amazon has in stock. Sometimes they run out before you can pull you Ebay listing.

As for your question, I'm not sure because it has been a while since this has affected me.

Ebay does not care if you are dropshipping items as long as it is shipped and received in the specified time. And as long as your customer feedback is OK.
And yes, this has been going on for years.

I hae searched and searched, but never can find anything that will sell for a profit. I habve used the DS Domination search tool, and it comes up with almost nothing. Then when i go to eBay, they are selling for about the same or less, figuring the eBay fees. I dont' get it.

Yes i have nice little niche that i do now as a part time basis. No paypal does not hold anything. That being said i just don't see the margins in drop shipping as i see in buying directly from manufacturer.

  • This thread is full of DS domination MLM member endorsing a product that will ban your Amazon account.

My inbox is full of people asking me for help because their DS domination account banned their Amazon account and now they need something that will work.

    Here's the bottom line.

If you want success on eBay - it's going to take work. Legitimate work. Not some weird technology that going to whiz out some products to sell.

(Because then everyone will do it)

It's also not going to endorse a violation of any policy either eBay's or Amazons.

Even if you could use other people's pictures or descriptions, why would you want to? You wouldn't set yourself apart from anyone else! You wouldn't compel traffic to your buy it now buttons, and you wouldn't brand yourself any differently.

eBay ISN'T a numbers game: the more listings you have up, the more you will sell.

It's a strategy game. The BETTER you list, the more you sell.

I don't care if you sign up for DS domination, my program, or anyone else's program. You HAVE to do it right, though. You HAVE to do math, you HAVE to follow the rules, you HAVE to set yourself apart from everyone else to be successful.

I my program teaches what everyone forgot to do: the 'advanced' basics. And that is what sets me apart. But do what you want. It just won't last long.

      Wow ADE,

I know this is an opportunity to clean up the strays, but dang haus. If they got banned they did it wrong. Now you are right eBay is a strategy game.

BUT, IT IS ALSO A NUMBERS GAME! I mean geez everything you do on eBay is a numbers game. From:

-How many items you sell/and have to sell
-The number of people selling that item
-The number of listing that are going to drop off as their duration ends.

And also the number of ACCOUNTS that a person has. I can go into whatever niche I choose and list the same item under 15 different account and OWN.. So please never say eBay isn't a numbers game.

Everything you do in life is a numbers game. BUT, also you are correct. In all the Numbers...Also lies... Strategy. Yes so the better your pictures borders, etc will definitely set you apart and give you and advantage.
Imagine all of your strategies...connected with the knowledge of multiple accounts. Hmm.. might make a nice WSO. I just sayin..

You should call eBay. You should find out when you call if you have any monthly selling limits. eBay can advise you of your monthly sales $ amount limit and number of items you can sell per month maximum limit (if you have one and most likely you will, if you haven't been selling aggressively). For example, I can now sell 750 items per month. To prevent fraud, ask eBay about any preliminary category restrictions, meaning if you haven't sold something in a particular category which eBay considers high risk, such as computers or electronics or gift cards, you will need to know if you have limitations there... Limitations may include: eBay may hold payment via Paypal if you sell an expensive item in a category or multiple expensive items in a category if you haven't sold items in that category before (for 30 days). But you will be paid for shipping if you've charged shipping so that you can ship the items.

Yes I agree that DS Domination may have some flaws in their business model. From my experience you may do better buying on ebay and than selling the item on Amazon via FBA. I do this in a regular basis and it makes money if you buy at the right price of course.
If you sell on ebay and plan to buy it from Amazon later you need to be aware that the prices change all the time. I will be changing some of mine later today!
