I've spent time being on this forum and one other. There's so much good advice here.. and some suspect advise from time to time. Reading about people who make thousands a month and others who lose their proverbial shirt. People who if you give them money will show you the yellow brick road to Eden or the highway to hell. It seems hard to decide at times if it's worth taking the dive to see if the time, effort, energy and money will pay off or if it will just lead to great frustration. Nothing in life is a sure bet other then dieing, it just interests me the range of success people have and do not have. I need to do something with the vast amount of time I have for doing nothing, its hard to decide what is worth it and what isn't. There's no magic bullet to any of it and the road of online business is paved with intention good or otherwise.

I think it is a good idea to find a couple of successful bloggers who are actually making a living online and are willing to help others do the same. For example, there is an immense amount of valuable information on Quick Sprout. Neil Patel publishes almost daily and provides a number of excellent guides to get you started.

    Hi

First of all you better make paragraph when writing..

I used to make $25k-$30k in sales on ebay permonth. However since the end of last year ebay took down all listings and suspended the account.. Yes i did have multiple accounts

My sales drop to $400 per month.

After that i tried ecommerce platform and i did made $600++ in sales. Not mention $50 on adword yet. But you know i need to start from zero.

However after that i learn something. 'customer database'.. It's really important if you're serious about making money for long term.

Start build your list now. No matter which industry you're in online business. Create your own customer database is most likely having your own house. You can do what ever you want.

    darbok,
I've been in your shoes. This was particularly how I felt with affiliate marketing- it was SUCH a huge investment in terms of TIME and there was no way of knowing if it would pay off (and largely, it DIDN'T!) With e-commerce, the best advice I can give is to start small. Some great advice I've heard before is "don't invest anything you're not willing to lose." Yes, it sounds depressing, but the fact is, you may not succeed, so don't risk a lot in the beginning.

If you want to look at an opportunity without spending ANY money, feel free to look at my ebook (see signature) that outlines my exact method of creating a 6 figure income (and the first few steps are starting slow... you can easily decide by step 3 if it's working for you or not- and you'll not be out much if it's not! Chances are, you'll be well into the green by then- profit!)

The key is finding what works for you. Everybody is different. Ultimately if you don't love what you're doing, you probably won't succeed at it. I love e-commerce and I think that's why it works for me. Good luck!
