How do you find the direct manufacturer of products. Say I want to sell products on Amazon. I see that emerson and oster sell these products. How to I get them cheaper since it seems people are saying negative things about getting items from China.

You would need to contact the manufacturers corporate office and ask them about their distributors. Most large companies have a major distributor they work thru. It is not easy to get an account with many of them and many will require large minimum orders or annual commitments (or both). A lot of them also do not have websites so you will have to research them the old fashioned way like thru the Thomas directory at your local library or thru ThomasNet® - Product Sourcing and Supplier Discovery Platform

Most people who say negative things about buying from China have little or no experience in trading with suppliers in that country.

My experience has been very profitable and almost trouble free after the first year or so. For 22 years I ran an importing business buying from a number of different countries, but mostly from China.

The reason I started importing was that the local manufacturer supplying most of the products I sold was giving poor service, high prices, and indifferent quality. When I started buying those products from China I got superior quality, faster delivery than I could get locally, excellent service, and prices that gave me more than double the previous profits.

Having previously exported to the Asia/Pacific area for 9 years, and visited many factories in China, I knew how things worked there. The one Chinese factory can produce poor quality and exceptionally high quality. The surprising thing is that the price difference is small.

You are on the right track wanting to buy direct from the manufacturer. The hard part about that is that nearly all suppliers listed on the popular sourcing sites claim to be manufacturers but they are not.

I teach how to safely locate them and how to negotiate small orders. If you want quality, you first of all check out their standard production. It may be good but if it is not good enough you then talk to them about upgrading the quality.

Don't even consider copying registered designs.

The OP is looking for direct manufacturers. The first response he got was from LABEShops and he gave him information on how to find local manufacturers.

My later response mentioned overseas manufacturers, but people insist on talking about wholesalers.

Why buy from a wholesaler at inflated prices when you can buy direct from the manufacturer which is where the wholesaler buys before adding a substantial margin and selling to you?
