How Do I Find A Certain Company In Korea?

I use to buy a product from a dealer that got his products from a business in Chicago. That business got it from Korea. Not sure if there were any middleman from that point, but I would like to find this company in Korea to order direct.

I only know or heard there is only 5 companies there that make this product. How would you suggest I find this company in Korea? The product isn't hard to find I'm hoping and I or someone else would have to ask if they sold to this company in Chicago to confirm it's the right company.

Any suggestions?

    Call the Korean Embassy in DC. Ask for the trade commissioner's office. Ask them your question, someone will know or can find out. There may also be a Lorean Consulate or Trade Development office in your city, if it is a major one (LA, Chicago, NYC, etc.).

    It's their job to help Koren companies export to the US (or wherever).

    If there are only 5 companies making the product it should be easy to find them and then you could choose the one that suits you best.

    I teach my students that they should have back up suppliers, so if you potentially have 5 suppliers you would be in a good position in that respect.

    I hope you know something about the importing process. If not, you should do some research on the subject before you get in too deep.
