I am wondering people who run retail store online. Do you name your store based on keyword for boosting seo or something like ABC store or product name ? I am trying to get a name for my store but is stuck with the idea.

I personally would go with a branded domain name, not a keyword domain. Google changed the way it ranks EMDs a long time ago, so they no longer have the SEO advantage that they used to have. A brandable name is so much more interesting than an EMD.

I try to make mine descriptive, not necessarily keyword rich. I like to keep the name short and sweet so customers have an idea what they will find on it when they visit - Corsetsplus.com is obviously corsets, Shoeoodles.com obviously shoes, etc.

Domain names are the hardest part of coming up with the store imo actually. So many names are taken even if they don't have a site on them at present, it can be hard to get one you like. Stepoutoftime.com was my hardest one when I was trying to come up with a steampunk site (which I actually expanded to pirates, renne, etc after coming up with the name). Took me nearly a year to find a domain name I liked and wasn't already taken
