Best web host for Prestashop

I plan on launching a new store using prestashop since I've heard pretty good things about it. My only concern is hosting. I've looked at hostgator's business plan as well as siteground, but I'm still a little unsure which hosting provider to pick. Does anyone have any good recommendations for web host providers that work best with prestashop?

Also, can anyone recommend good developers that specialize in prestashop design as well as themes? Thanks!

Starting out just about any web host will do quite well. Most of them all have pretty solid uptime. Simple web search will list good and bad reviews about either company.

Three important things I would look for are the following.

    Speed
    Quality
    Redundancy

Speed: Raid10 (always for data safety), Cloudlinux (ensure others on the shared server are not abusing and slowing your website down) and Litespeed (faster php performance)

Quality: Verify the quality of service they provided. Email, Chat or Call if available and have them answer a few questions. See how responsive and friendly they are. This can be important in the future if you run into any problems.

Redundancy: Ensure quality hardware is being used, raid10 protected, secure network, latest stable server software, redundant dns, multiple backups of your data, uptime history.

Plenty of Prestashop themes all over the internet in the $40-60/range for responsive and of good quality, you can also find free ones. You can get a pretty solid logo done for about $30-50.

I personally offer both services and quality. Let me know if you need assistance.

A good thing to keep in mind is that hostgator will give you a free SSL and dedicated IP address with the business plan. The SSL is great for your ecommerce site and a Dedicated IP is great for SEO.. win win.

Check out hosting services from leapwebhosting.com and rivalhost.com.
These companies have plans which are able to meet the needs of many webmasters with specific needs, as for prices, they are not high.

Prestashop is definitely among the best to build a Ecommerce store, support on its forum is good and modules and themes really make your store feature rich.

Your concern about hosting is valid. I recommend that you never go with Shared hosting solution.

Only settle for dedicated hosting and cloud hosting, also check the details of server configuration.

Best server configuration for Prestashop is the one that uses latest PHP/MySQL versions, optimized with Nginx, Varnish, Memcache and Apache. Caching really helps in speeding up your site.

Also look for hosting providers that give you the ability to configure SSL certificates (now a SEO ranking factor), deploy CDNs, configure dedicated email IDs, integration of Git, Multiple datacenters, dedicated IP, all for no extra cost.

I have a few hosting providers that I recommend, but posting them here I think would be against forum rules? You can contact me through PM and I will send you my recommendations.

Lots of information, but missing one crucial aspect. Prestashop is a good choice for Nano Enterprise (sub $200,000/yr revenue) however hosting has a material impact on your organic visitors. For every $1 of time, hosting, seo services, backlinks you have a range of 1 to 30 organic visitors generated. So if you choose cheap hosting used by the masses you will receive 1-2 organic visitors per $1, if you use corporate level hosting you will receive 25-30 but it's more expensive and you need a lot of experience to make it perform correctly.

The difference is the amount of time you need to spend (which is chargeable) to generate the traffic or the number of services you need. You can refer to this Providers, so you need to balance the cost against the quality - Siteground (Tier 7) are cheap but you need to use the exponential scale to generate traffic http://bpastudio.csudh.edu/fac/lpres...s/image002.gif. If you use corporate hosting you get the logarithmic scale http://zone.ni.com/images/reference/...ithm_fit_1.gif.

It is all very simple, but hard to find the right balance. You can try these Shared Hosting – Nexcess, generally mid-range.
