  • My advice would be not to worry about it too much. If you're going to start a blog, I assume you'll be building a WordPress site. Just go with an affordable host that's been around for a while. HostGator and BlueHost are two that fit this bill and have strong reputations. Pick one of them and get on with it! :-)

  • For every small online business, at the beginning, we should go with an affordable host that's been around for a while like ShoppingSignals said above because most small businesses websites will not have many traffic for some time.

The web hosts that I recommend are godaddy, Arvixe or HostGator and BlueHost, they are all branded host supplier and have good reputations. Just remember don't buy web host from some unknown supplier, it will be bad for your website.
  • thanks shoppingsignals and kiddoman for the advice!
anyways im looking at a webhost calls wooservers it offers $20 for 1 year webhosting package which includes domain name Im starting to doubt the site as it sounds too good to be true...and im starting to worried that its a hacker or scam site that gets you to type in your information...anyone tried wooservers and actually knows if the site is legit?

  • Personally, I would go with a host that offers starter plans but you can then grow into them and add more domains, other software, etc as you grow so you don't have the hassle of switching after your site gets larger.

I recommend Evolvewebhosts.com for that reason. Midphase.com is also very good - I have used both.
  • hostgator is the greatest
  • I would suggest you go with Bluehost. They are one of the best and their customer support is excellent. Being a mom myself with little know-how, i have been able to blog uninterruptedly for ver 3 years now using their service. I used their shared hosting plan
