Please help, I'm having major problems with woocommerce and its subscription model

I have been working on this clients site for month using woocommerce and the product is just not moving. We have no problem selling it face to face, so I was working on a risk reversal where someone can try it for thirty days for s&h and return if they don't absolutely love it. I'm trying to configure it with woocommerce subscriptions but it is a nightmare, it is clearly meant for digital products. I need a better solution. I'm willing to go to a different theme and e-commerce platform. If you have any solutions that you know would work. What I really want is:
1. a single product site
2. no php coding
3. on a wordpress backend (this is optional, I can just keep the blog elsewhere)
4. be able to take a s&h payment upfront and the rest in thirty days
5. have control of how all the copy is written including the price
6. I really like the layout of this site but I'm not sure on the integration.

Please help, I'm about to loose my contract and my family can't afford to.

I hope things work out for you, subscription models can be complicated in WP.

If you have a PayPal merchant account you can create a subscription product and link to THAT product from your site. Using this model you don't actually need WooCommerce (or PHP programming as you mentioned) - you just need an informational site with a page setup for that product and a "Buy" btn which is linking to your PayPal subscription product.

You can setup your PayPal subscription product to charge the full-price to your customer after 30 days (this would be a one-time subscription fee you need to set in PayPal - NOT a recurring fee).

If the customer doesn't cancel their PayPal subscription product within 30 days it will charge them the full amount, if they return the product or are unsatisfied you need to manually add them to a list (trust me, this is safer) and then remove them from the subscription.

It's been a while since I've tackled this issue so consider all of this just a tip, not explicit directions. Hope you keep the contract, brother, don't be too hard on yourself though.
