They want to believe someone out there can really sell them a pair of recently released Nikes for $25 that they can resell for $250.       I have a huge list of thousands of scam websites offering goods wholesale, and among them there would be at least 200 or 300 with the name Nike as part of the domain name.

      The list is very fluid because as soon as the scammers get caught trading under one name they open up under another name.

      The reason they go to that trouble and cost is that there are so many gullible people out there still to be scammed. "There's one born every day."

    I like to call this the hybrid dropship method. You aren't taking inventory but you go and pick up product once a week from them. You can also do this with online sellers as well if you want. Just negotiate a 30% across the board discount. You just have to persuade them that you are not competing directly with them.

    I've seen this happen a ton of times.

    It's amazing that some people even fall for: "Hey, I just contacted someone oversees that PROMISED me that their items were legit xxxxxx brand of whats-it! I'm going to make a ton of money!"

    Great.

    Go ahead and violate parallel trade laws, get thrown in jail, and pay a massive fine.

    Look for niches - not brands, look at market values, and sell from there.

    Yes, importing is a great way to make money - ImportExport is the expert there. But don't get caught up on promises of other people who are indemnified by a big, fat ocean.
