Which platform should I go with (but I have a few special requirements)

Hey,

I'm building a website in the fitness niche and I want to turn it into an ecommerce store where I'll eventually sell products. I guess it's better to sort something out now before I get too far into it.

It's not that easy because I have a few special requirements:

1) I'll primarily be selling online coaching in 1-3 month packages, so I'll need a platform that allows me to do this. After payment they'd need to be redirected to a questionnaire page and once filled in I can design programs and take care of everything through email.

2) In the future I'll be selling information products (ebooks), so I'll need a platform that automatically sends them info product after purchase.

3) In the distant future I'd want to integrate a membership site where people will be able to go through video courses and they'll need a way to log in and access this.

Then I would start adding physical products to my store and time went on.

Part of me is thinking it might be better just to stick to Wordpress and maybe use WooCommerce to set up a .com/store page on my site, but I have big plans over the next few years and I would love something beautiful and powerful like Shopify or BigCommerce if they could offer me what I need.

I would really appreciate the help if anyone has experience with any of this.

Thanks.

From my experience with developing and launching Web pages, I suggest you use WordPress and just purchase a plug-in called optimize press which allows you to do all of what you need and more. Check them out as that is what I mainly use to launch sales page and marketing Web sites. There are other plug-in that got can use but I suggest you do a little research on it and maybe it will suite you. This is all based on personal usage and experience.

I've been in contact with someone from Shopify and everything is possible. Everything is possible on BigCommerce too, just in case anyone else is thinking about this kind of thing.

I was going to use Wordpress with WooComm, but I think I might go for one of the bigger ones.

I shall spend a while thinking about what to do.
