Drop shipping Business Plan Help

A business partner just approached me with an idea for a specialty women's apparel drop shipping e-commerce site. I am interested in the idea, but want a comprehensive business plan on paper that will show how we will make money and become profitable.

Therefore, I am seeking any copies of a drop shipping business plan that can be used as a guide to developing the business model. I have developed several business plans for other operations I am involved in. However, this will be the first e-commerce site for me.

Any advice or sample business plan will be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Ricky, well I want to try and help you with the business idea you have, in some ways it is good and others is a very bad idea. Reason for the bad idea is, you would get a lot of returns for the clothes did not fit well or the color is wrong where they would say the color was different in the image they saw on the site, so many problems wit selling women's clothes on the net, maybe think of doing women's accessories, just my 2 cents.

    Drop shipping is great way to get started with ecommerce, today one can almost all the things from the internet, so you must need to have a great shipping strategy for ecommerce. There are different plans by going through that you can open various types of online store like the store for clothing, print shop website business plan, children website business plan, ISP business plan, Ecommerce fabric store plan etc.

      Have to agree with carolinaguy43. Handling returns would be a hassle. Other than finding out your margins, you need to figure out what the supplier would handle all the returns as well before you really start thinking about the business plan.

    I also have to agree with carolinaguy43. Dropshipping clothing is not a simple proposition, as it has lower prices and margins, and more returns. If getting into clothing I personally would find a solid wholesaler who will let you get in with small quantities and pricing to start. They do exist.

    If you are set on drop shipping, which I think is the best way to get into ecommerce, I suggest either storecoach.com or dropshiplifestyle.com. Both Greg and Anton frequent these forums and they both offer deals to Warriors. I personally am utilizing Anton's program and I love it. The private community forum alone is worth the price. Both of these courses would allow you to determine the viability of your idea.
