Ok. From our own experience in searching for this kind of info. I am assuming you want to setup a store selling these to customers as retail.

In that case, you need to find a wholesaler who sells rock n roll or heavy metal band type t-shirts and merch like on the site you listed.

    The keyword here is "wholesale."

So I just did a simple search in Google under the keywords "heavy metal tshirts wholesale" and a list of wholesalers selling this kind of merchandise showed up.

If you want to be more specific, just change the keywords to the specific band or type of merchandise you want to find. The key here is that when you want to sell retail, you want to buy your products wholesale.

Plus, sometimes you can find wholesalers on other large scale wholesale sites, ebay, etc.

    Good luck.

Yes I'd like to be able to have the knowledge to list products on a site I am building when the time comes.

So I would list each item manually into the website and use a shopping cart plugin? What about taking items that are already up and doing an affiliate type sale and taking a comission per sale? For example what about taking items from amazon and plugging them into my site? Thanks.

These are good questions. You need to figure out what type of eCommerce site you want to run.

Do you want to do affiliate marketing such as an Amazon store where you are promoting their products or do you want an actual retail online store where you are selling wholesale or drop-shipped products to customers?

You need to make this decision first as it will affect your strategy of how much money you want to make, time spent, and monthly expenses.

Doing affiliate marketing is very cost effective and a different approach than a pure retail store. The in-between choice is something like an Amazon store where the store just gets populated with products you select from Amazon and they handle all the back end work. You get a very small percentage of the profit as compared to having a retail store.

For example, we have a retail online store at PLRProducts.com where we sell resell downloadable products. We host the site on a solid service platform and we control the design and inventory of the store. We have a team that loads our products for us and the store is great to run since it is downloadable products.

If you want a retail online store with your own wholesale products, then you can select to do it on a predone eCommerce platform offered through different companies such as 3D cart, Shopify, etc. Each one has their pros and cons.

You can also just get a an eCommerce WordPress theme and use an eCommerce plugin such as woo commerce or another one that is out there. Then you can host your own site and store at a much lower cost.

But in the end, you will most likely have to load the products into your store. Now there are some companies where you can import the products easily into your store but it depends on where you get your products. You can also easily hire out the product loading service to someone on W-Forum, freelancer, elance, etc and have them do it for you.

If you do go down that road, you should at least load a few products yourself so you understand the amount of time and effort it takes to make sure the people you hire don't overcharge you for the services.

I'd like to sell similar products to the link I posted but WAY more and way more relevant to underground metal and such.

I do not want to do retail if you mean buying the products wholesale, stocking them, selling and shipping. I'd much rather take a commission from an already available product.

I would be using a Wordpress theme and then I am guessing Woocommerce (not yet familiar with) then loading the products individually from Amazon? If I am an affiliate to multiple product sites can I mix and match from amazon + 2-3 other sites? Thanks a lot. You have been helpful so far.

I'd much rather hand select and hand import the items into my site from 2-3 different vendors just so its more diverse I suppose? As long as this is possible, I will look the steps up down the road.

Ok I see where you are going. Since you don't want to deal with inventory or shipping products, then you need to focus on getting products you can promote through an Amazon or a dropshipper (somone who handles all the work). You will essentially do affiliate marketing of the products but through a storefront you create.

You can mix and match products from dropshippers and Amazon, etc. just like any affiliate products you promote. As an Amazon affiliate, you can create an Amazon store widget that you can put on a WordPress site. The Amazon widgets are flexible and you can create them for your side bars or a full page post size.

You can also find predone Amazon store websites that are already set for a niche and you just plugin your amazon affiliate ID.

So the best option probably for you is to setup a WordPress site with a responsive theme and then find some dropshippers or affiliate programs where you can promote their products in your niche. You can then add Amazon widgets to your site to bolster sales with the select of more products.

Also, once you setup your site, create a newsletter or something that you can use to build a list with your customers to market to them about the metal niche. Talk about bands etc and it will bring them back to the site. You can also create an article section on the site that lists the best bands, etc. Some good articles on bands, the best 50 metal songs ever, etc. will get people to come to the site.

      You get the idea.

Yes, there are lots of options when you use a WordPress site and promote Affiliate and Dropship products. That is the great thing about the Internet.

But your niche is pretty specific so it should be easier to find the affiliate programs and products you want to promote.

For your best metal bands list, I vote for Metallica.
