Is there a way to get around this without getting my accounts barred?

I see lots of sellers listing items but i did it once on ebay and got my listing removed and a warning email.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks
Paul

You have to be approved to sell adult toys on Amazon as they are are restricted category. This means having an established sellers account and a good track record, then applying for any of the restricted categories you want to sell in.

As far as ebay, you have to list items in the adult category or risk being banned.

Both are easy - you just have to follow the rules.

At one point, viewers didn't have to enter in CC info to verify age to view "Adult Items" - so instead of just forcing sellers to abide by rules pertaining to not showing "graphic images" on the products posted within the Adult Category, they forced visitors to enter CC information just to look at items - this killed sales overnight and forced out the top 4 or 5 sellers, myself included. For me, a multi-million dollar business pretty much vanished overnight but luckily I had other channels I was selling on (such as my own site with an affiliate sales channel). Some of the other competitors sneakily tried to sell in other categories until most of them were banned for doing so.

This is one of those instances where it becomes CRAZY important to know the rules and guidelines surrounding every. single. category in which you're selling. No matter what.

On marketplaces like Amazon, different categories have different rules and regulations, as you're just now experiencing with the adult toys category.

Making sure to know and keep in compliance with all the rules and guidelines for every category in which you've got inventory is the best way to avoid getting dinged on anything by the marketplace.
