Shopify affiliate marketing

I am unsure if this is the right section for me to post this but heres my question. I am interested in starting my own website on shopify. I looked over the website and watched some videos and I am unsure how to market affiliate products on shopify. do i need to get a shopify affiliate app that kind of hooks on to my shopify account and then go from there or can i do it without the app. and if i need to get an app which one on shopify is the best at a reasonably low price for someone that is just starting out. Thanks for your help! hope that post made sense!

    Shopify is more of a Shopping Cart platform than a CMS. So if you mean, placing products from Amazon and others for people to click on and be taken to those sites, I would recommend something besides Shopify. Most people start out with wordpress for affiliate sites or I know BigCommerce has the ability to add affiliate shopping links in their products.

    If you are selling physical products and want others to promote your physical products, there are third party apps and platforms to help you with that in Shopify.

    Otherwords, take a look at Wordpress and Woocommerce to set up your affiliate store. Or, you can also check out something simpler like Weebly or Squarespace that might be easier for you if you don't want to set up a wordpress site.
