Advice on my store please

Hi

I currently have a drop shipping online store that I host through shopify, I am really happy with them and how easy it is to set up and the templates etc. I sell products that I have an interest in.

My problem is that my site has been up and running for a few months now but I have had no sales?? I have had 3 customer enquires however these items were out of stock or we were unable to ship to their location but other than that ...nothing?!

Can an experienced member please tell me where I am going wrong, my website is

    Nice looking site but utterly devoid of product details apart from metric measurement sizes (thought being UK it should be imperial anyway?) . For instance, what the hell are those tables made of. Could be good quality wood or it could be asian paper mache. Start writing detailed descriptions, point some targeted PPC traffic towards it & monitor your conversions. A good start but without product details its unfortunately useless, as proved by results to date.

      Ok, so I'll do some in depth product descriptions, I have gone by what my drop shipper has provided but I'll call the supplier and see what they can provide.

      I prefer cm/mm so do many people here.

        You website looks nice, but i have to be honest, it is very confusing because the header is following me when i scroll down. And The header is very big, it almost takes up half of the screen.

        The categories are confusing to, when i hold my mouse over "by room" to many options come up, i mean i could spend hours just looking through the products. you have a lot of options there, try to make it more simple.

        one thing you can do is to make a pop up, when visitors visit your page the pop up comes up asking for their email address, and in return you can give them some discount. or a newsletter that tells them when the next big sale is. I see you have an optin form but it is on the buttom of the page, try to make it more visible.

        One thing i noticed is you dont have any products on discount, or a categorie with best selling products. Pick a product from every category that you make most profit from and put it on 10-30 % discount. Then it will be no brainer for the consumer to choose what to buy, people love discounts. And most people can not decide what they want..

        If you do not have facebook page already you should make one, and start promoting your store via facebook ads. you will get really targeted visitors to you page.

        Add a retargeting cookie on your website and make or invest in some good banners.

        Everytime someone visits your webstore a tracking cookie will be installed in their browser
        So when they go to browse on the internet your banner will display and remind them of your store, and bring them back, so they can buy your products. (only 1-5% buy on their first visit)

        And product description is a must, you need to tell your costumers what they are buying and why they need it. A picture and a price is not enough people like to read

        In the beginning you could put product description on the products that are on sale.


        And do not worry the sales will come. it took me 5 months before i made my first sale
