Well, ask yourself - when you want to buy a camera... what do you first do?

Then where would you purchase it?

My guess is that you'll answer your own question... a review site with links to Amazon.

    Best of both worlds.

No-one has any reason to go to your "Amazon" Store - but if you're reviews are worth reading, they'll come for the content, then follow the link to purchase...

Congrats on finding a niche. Due to how the search engines work, I would highly recommend that you create a review site. Even if you're going to use a social media site like Youtube, it's still good to have a review site that points to a specific page on your blog (based on the camera you're talking about in a particular video).

Now that you've chosen the niche, the real work begins. I could give you a seat of the pants answer off the top of my head or give you my opinion, like others probably will.

But if you want the most accurate answer. I'd start by doing a competitive analysis, what does your competition look like for each one.

Then I'd consider where my own talents and commitment lay. Do I love writing about cameras with a passion, then if the numbers verify it, go for blogging.

But if you're more into marketing than writing, and the numbers are positive, go for an Amazon store.

My personal ideal, if you have the time, money and patience - would be to test both choices for 6 months and see which one works best for you. That's the #1 best way to come to a decision. Let the market and personal experience choose your niche for you. Everything else is pretty much opinion, speculation and guesses.

Question: Are you going to do cameras in general or a specific kind of camera? If so, I'm curious to know how you came to that decision.

    Good Luck

At the time running a successful Clickbank products review blog. So, It'd be hassle free to write reviews rather aStore
      Coming to Amazon,
I am thinking to start with DSLRs, and going with 3 brands - Sony, Fujifilm or one more. Price range less than $600. I hope it will work for me !

You could also share your experience with photography. Give it a personal touch. Maybe share some of your best photographs too.

if you have no experience with Amazon stores then start with a review blog. Lots of organic traffic on the way.

Good luck with that. There probably is a market still despite the rise of smartphones but no doubt it will be pretty competitive and like most consumer electronics, a tight margin. One company that seems to be doing ok is C&A Marketing i.e the licensing route.

  • A review site would be very helpful to users and since your site is content-based, it would also benefit from search engine traffic.

And just a suggestion- you may also want to do video review or perhaps put a comparison chart whenever possible.

    Good luck!
