Im an idiot... Purchased the wrong theme. What now?

So I am setting up a new wordpress/woocommerce site and last night I go to preview a theme I liked on ThemeForest and today I went back on google, typed in the theme name and click the first link without reading. Well after I purchased it and I go to install it I notice it was for OPEN CART and not Woocommerce.

So I went to the support forum and also left a comment on the sellers theme forest page. So far no luck on a response..

Does anybody know where I can sell theme licenses/codes if I will and have not used it?

Am I out of $45 ? If so I'm going to have to buy the woocommerce for $58 and actually pay attention...

    Unless I just stick with open cart and not wordpress... I like wordpress because its easy to operate and I have like 300 products under another domain I wanted to transfer.

    But security I bet is better on open cart.

    What does everyone recommend I stick to? Open cart or WP ? Not much experience in open cart yet and I also want to attach a blog.

    You should probably stick with what you know so you don't have to go through the learning curve. WP is very easy to use.

    May be lost out of $45 but it was my fault. I already know everything about wordpress so I'd hate to have to learn another script. Ill search for another theme and see if my luck gets any better

      Have you heard back from theme forest's support yet? How long ago did you contact them?

      I hope you can get an exchange. If not, oh well we all make those mistakes at some point in our business.

    I don't know their policy now, but they haven't refunded the money for my theme.

    My refund request was based on the fact that the theme was broken in many ways. There were about 150 complains about this, nobody got their money back. I have a theme I've purchased one year ago, it is not available anymore for the download, now I can't download it nor get my money.

    UPDATE: Theme Forest contacted me back and gave me a refund. They said just next time don't forget to double check the theme you are buying lol.

      ThemeForest is a very reputable platform for selling themes. I bought 2 of them ( WP for my blog, and Magento for my shop). They have great suport forums for both of my themes and always respond very fast. No complaining! Good luck to you!
