Hey guys.
To start off this forum has been amazing and I thank all of you that are present here in responding and sharing your knowledge and expertise with everyone who needs it.

I personally sell on eBay... however, I am not a big time seller at all. I've been flipping things that I find off of flea markets, goodwill and other places and I've maybe generated 300 bucks a month on average (Bottom line)

Now I want to get into dropshipping and finding manufacturer's to buy from. I know China is the way to go but is sketchy and real far to do a face to face. USA is awesome but they generally don't deal with small fry. (like me)
I am currently in the process of getting my resell license/tax id and all that Uncle Sam business.

Should I venture to flipping websites and blogging some personal interests along with affiliate sites since ebay looks bleak and so does wholesale? I've seen a lot of you absolutely hate eBay. Should I just set up my own web store and IM the crap out of it? Do I become a "middleman?"

Think of your starting days when you had no capital. That's me.

How did you grow? How did you start?

It depends on the products you're planning to sell. You should setup an e-commerce site and get set up with suppliers in whichever industry you choose. There's no such thing as a "small fry". Suppliers would be happy to do business with you.

E-commerce is definitely good to go!
      1. First find-out good door shippers/suppliers who offer you good wholesale price.
      2. Choose Good eCommerce platform and get your site ready. (you can outsource the whole thing)
      3. when your site is developed import or add products to your site.
      Exactly what Wmrwl said !

First, you should finalize some products or category. You can look Amazon's best sellers or Terapeak for finding booming product. Then, just go to Alibaba and buy sample(usually for free without shipping). And try to sell it.

By that time, you will realize, what you can sell more and then just focus on that. You can start making good money in 3 months.

Why work for someone when you can sell your own products and make more money easily?
