Cannot List Item on Amazon.

So I have an item I am trying to sell on Amazon that does not have a UPC number so Amazon will not let me post it. Does anyone know a way around this?

    Full disclosure- I'm not a seller, I work for an inventory management tool, so I don't have experience with this first hand. However, I have seen on the Amazon forums sellers talking about purchasing UPC codes.       You would need to purchase UPC codes, I would get them off eBay personally as they are really cheap and they will work on Amazon if the seller mentions they work there.
