I appreciate any advised based on your experience. Right now i am building an online shop for a friend who already have few brick and mortar shop.

Since he did not have any technical experience and online marketing know how, i'm thinking of handling the website from technical to marketing part. So he will handle other operation eg. Fulfillment centre, delivery and obviously stocks. I'm preparing a business plan where he also will absorb 50% of the marketing cost which i plan to run ie. facebook ads, AdWords, newspaper and magazine ads.

In return i wish to share profit with him which is 10% of the total sales monthly. Is this a viable business plan? Any advised on how to run online shop for other people?

On another matter, anyone knows whats the best shopping cart for having both b2c and b2b on a single store. My plan at the moment is to setup each website on different domain separately using opencart. Eg. Www.mystore.com and b2b.mystore.com for wholesaler to see different pricing.

Any input is much appreciated.

Be very clear with your friend up front about your expected payment and work out a payment including job title, etc. You might need to be an 'employee' or business partner to make this legally stick. As for whether or not this idea will work depends on if your friend wants to let you share so much of the profits, versus paying you a fee/salary and other factors including popularity of the online store.

Hi, our plan is for me to be his partner and we will prepare an agreement document so there is clear on both side. As to profit sharing? Do you think that 10% is too much to ask? In a way i'm also helping to grow his offline marketing.

      Thanks
