Hey everyone,

just received this email from eBay today stating that "eBay Inc. announced it will create two independent public companies -- eBay and PayPal -- in the second half of 2015".

I think this is great news for all of us sellers as we're constantly worried that any issue on eBay will affect our Paypal account. This separation process will still stake about a year to complete, so let's see how good or bad it will affect our business.

Look below for the complete email.

    eBay Community:

This week, eBay Inc. announced it will create two independent public companies — eBay and PayPal — in the second half of 2015. This will ensure each business is best able to serve its customers' needs and thrive well into the future. You can read more about it here at http://www.ebayinc.com/

The creation of independent eBay and PayPal businesses will take up to 12 months to complete so this has no immediate impact on your account. Likewise, you can continue to count on everything you expect from eBay today. Innovation, value, trust, selection, and global reach will remain central to our business. And we will continue to work closely with PayPal to ensure payments remain a seamless part of the eBay experience.

As an active customer, you help make eBay what it is. eBay has always been more than a store. It is a community of people — buyers and sellers — connecting around the world. Thank you for being part of this amazing community. As we begin this next chapter of the eBay story, you have our commitment to make sure people like you remain at the heart of everything we do.

We are excited by the opportunity ahead and look forward to working with you in the future.

    Best regards,
    Christopher Payne

    PFTT wishful thinking.

sure... NOW they can split now and still sleep well at night knowing that business processes (designed to screw the seller and protect buyer at all costs) are so intertwined and dependent on each other that it won't really matter.. nothing will change except the name of the CEO who is writing all the checks.

I suggest ebay integrate with more than just one payment processor then I would believe they are changing something worthwhile.

Are you guys seeing good results from marketing on Ebay. I haven't listed anything there for a long time. Just wondering if it is even worth it? I keep hearing bad things... any thoughts to share? Should I look at it again or not?

Just to follow-up on this thread I started, it is now confirmed that PP and eBay will become 2 companies this Friday.

I've started another thread for those who might have a comment to make about it: http://www.warriorforum.com/ecommerc...ys-friday.html
