Do people even check their emails? Let alone PRODUCT PROMOTION emails?

I like the aspect of gathering certain kinds of peoples emails and advertising certain things to them in a bulk email hoping it will create some leads. But I feel like even if I did get 100-2000 emails and sent some emails, I highly doubt any of them would click it? What do you guys think? I guess if I had an email list of thousands, maybe like maximum of a hundred would actually buy whatever you're promoting, and then after you send those emails you wouldn't even be able to make money again from that list because they either blocked you or recognize you and ignore it.

Can someone explain this to me?

Depends how you market to them.

Solo ads for example is more spammy but is all about the numbers where as if you take the route of building that value relationship then they will keep an eye out for your emails.

Here is something new : Why don't you stop worrying about bulk emailing and start building a real business with real quality content and real quality products that will help your List and engage them.

      Stop being concerned about Size.
It may work in 'Debbie Does Dallas' but in this industry look for quality not quantity.

And that's a horrible attitude: You are concerned about people blocking your emails ? Wtf, so you are basically saying my business sucks, my brand sucks, and my content and products suck....so maybe I can get a few quick sales before anyone figures this out !

You are setting yourself up for failure. Change your Mindset, asap !

You'd be surprised. I've only been doing this a little over a month so I'm still pretty bad, but I still get some sales and some people read every email. Some people don't read any. Others might not read a single email, but then 1 day they are bored when my email comes in so they read it and it leads to a sale. Trust and brand help get your emails opened, but the most important thing is just being in their inbox where the marginal cost to you is 0.

Bro, why did these folks give you their email address to begin with?? The answer to that question is the reason why their either reading or blocking your emails.

There are emails from certain people that I will almost always open and there are those from others that I don't even bother to open. It's got to do with the content and the way they write the content.

Wow ... I'm certainly glad nobody offered me any of this perspective before I started!

I expect 50% of my subscribers to buy something through one of my links (and some of them buy multiple "somethings") during the email series they receive from me.

On the contrary, Kelvin, after people have bought something through your link, it should become much easier, not more difficult, to make subsequent sales to them, if you go about it sensibly.

In successful affiliate marketing, most of the long-term income comes from making repeated sales to the same customers. As your list gradually turns into a buyers' list, it becomes more valuable.

Open rates for marketers' emails vary all the way from below 10% to above 90%, depending on a huge variety of factors.

You sound as if "the why and the how" might help you?

This post, from only an hour or two ago, explains why affiliate marketers (and actually many others) need to do email marketing to earn anything worth talking about: http://www.warriorforum.com/email-ma...ml#post9572434

And here are 6 posts/threads which, between them, explain how to go about doing it so that none of the fears you've expressed above needs to apply to you!

I see this question running around the forum here and there.

But all I can say is that there is a reason why people say that the money is in the list. Nevertheless of course you need to make them wanting your emails ofcourse.

Yes , people do check their emails. The problem is not people not checking their emails, the problem is people not sending emails not worth reading! You must engage with your subscribers and offer true value and show you are really their to help them. Sure not everybody is going to open your emails, that's just the way it is, but when you actually help the one that do open your emails eventually you will start to the see the results you desire. Treat your subscribers like real people and in turn they will open your emails. Email marketing does work.
