Your best bet is going to be one of the most popular, Aweber. The first month is only a $1 trial so you can test it out and see how it works for you. Definitely worth the money to go with a paid autoresponder service.

    1.Getresponse(Free Trial)
    2.Aweber ($1 Trial)

Both of these are very good, but Getresponse is relatively less expensive. You will get 1000 subscribers limit in getresponse for $15/month
and 500 subscribers limit for $19/month in Aweber. So I will recommend you to go with Getresponse and save some money

If you are serious about marketing my two number 1 recommendations as already mentioned.

    1.) Aweber.
    2.) Get Response

Why? Because they have been around long enough and are compliant with many free emails providers and they are strict against spam. Because of that they have been rewarded with high deliverability rates. You don't want to be using an autoresponder that has low deliverability rate otherwise what would be the point in email marketing?

If you want a very high quality AR solution, I'd suggest SendReach. There are a whole lot of ways to segment your list, maintain relationships, etc. It's a roboust system, however, you may find integration a problem into some lead SaSS, WP Plugin's etc.

I agree with Matthew...Get Response is very easy to use and you can also create newsletters for your business.

Others may disagree but to me the Rolls Royce of Email Marketing is Aweber

    Getresponse or Aweber.

Both are very good. I prefer getresponse but aweber is also good.

Everybody is certainly entitled to their opinion on this, but I like Aweber for the customer support. They are well established and I think most consider them the gold standard for an auto responder.

Having said that, you have plenty of options to choose from. Do some homework and then go with your instincts after doing your research. You have to make the right choice for yourself and your goals.

    Recommend self hosted autoresponder:

    1. Mymail
    2. IMSC rapid mailer.

It's worth using a paid service. Hosting your own introduces a lot of overhead in the form of you personally having to manage deliverability of your e-mails ... or hiring someone to do so.

A good place to start is Mailchimp.com. It's free at first, and will remain free until your business takes off.

I have been seeing a lot of complains regarding Getresponse on the forums, I haven't tried it myself though. Aweber is a good hostl, and winning email is great for checking the deliverability. You can test how well is your deliverability on this site for free, and they'll help you sort out your problems as well.

While people did mention deliverability problems in Aweber as well, the ratio of complains regarding Get response was higher.
