I have a fashion related site with articles showing mainly outfit ideas for various occasions and have installed optin forms all over the site so now it's getting a good number of subscribers per day.

Any ideas to how I can monetize this list?

You can send out autorepsonder sequences giving advice on different outfits a person can where during different Seasons, special events, school, work etc..

Then you could put some passive aff. links after a few emails offering different types of clothes, dresses, shoes, jewelery etc.. earning you a commission every time they buy.

www.Shareasale.com and www.CommissionJunction.com are two affiliate networks you can sign up with that offer good affiliate clothing products you could promote.

You could start by asking the current people on your list what they want. You could even build a survey into your autoresponder series, so that they get it directly after signing up.

Ask what their biggest fashion pains and desires are, or what they're interested in. Have them tell you. Then you can choose a path to monetize from there, whether you make fashion recommendations or offer affiliate products, whatever, etc.

That's better than guessing or assuming. If you get to know them and have them tell you exactly what they're interested in, it helps you deliver value for them, and you also make more money in the long run. It's a win-win.

I know people in a similar niche. Here are a few things you could do:

    a) If you have a large / engaged enough audience, you could approach brands and ask if they will sponsor you. In other words, they will provide you with their clothes and often provide you with a unique coupon code you can offer your followers. When your followers purchase that clothing with the coupon code, you get a kickback.

    b) You could certainly embed affiliate links in your blog posts / emails if you feel comfortable promoting a particular product and an affiliate program is available. This is different than point a) because you don't need to approach the brand directly, nor will you have any kind of special offer / coupon code.

    c) If your following is large enough, you could consider selling some of your products / services / tutorials / seminars, etc. You can begin charging for speaking events, too.

    d) Paid ads promoting different fashion related things on your blog could be another source of revenue.

These are just some ideas. I know a number of fashion bloggers who employ a combination of these strategies. The key is that you will need a large and engaged following to really make any real money. Focus on that part first, which it sounds like you're doing.

    Good luck!

All of these ideas listed here are good ones. I only have one main suggestion.

In your auto responder campaign, and your blog posts for that matter, once you have finished writing about your given topic for the day, ask the reader to contact you with a comment or through email with any concerns or questions. Answer these replies personally. If you have thousands you can use a blast email.

Anyway, the more personal you can get, as best you can, the more people will stay with you in the long term.

When you have direct contact with them, and they are asking about a particular issue, offer them the solution and the affiliate link you have to buy the solution.

You definitely can put the affiliate link in your original email or post in a way that doesn't come across as a hard sell for those who will go straight there anyway.

In some cases though, having them contact you for more information allows you to talk to them some through email and you establish more trust this way.

Sounds to me like you have plenty of people who like your content and are repeat visitors now. You are building a strong foundation for an online business.

    Maybe this helps some.
