Building rapport with your email list is important for making sales. Here are two simple tips to help with this:

1) Give valuable tips and advice first.

The more you give to your customer, the more the customer will feel to give back. Concentrating on giving valuable content and help to your list first will warm the customer up to trusting you and in turn buy from you knowing you are providing value and help.

2) Engage with them on a personal level.

To know how to please your customer list is to know what they want and a simple way to do this is to ask. Asking for feedback is a good way to communicate with your list on a personal level, asking what they want and providing them with that information can develop a good relationship. The responsiveness will show the interest and engagement of people that actually open your emails.

All Just advice, Do whatever you feel like.

cheers

    • Also being Consistent with everything you say. I have mentioned this a number of times here in the past on how important this is.

      Do not be hypocritical.

For instance, do not say you know nothing about Article Marketing then next month talk about how Article Marketing has taking your business to new heights the last two years.

      Wrong move

  • Well said.

Something that your subscribers are going to appreciate a lot is by applying a simple business equation...

LEARN IT ===> DO IT ===> TEACH IT

A lot of people are in here to make a quick buck. But they're constantly focused on finding new people. Guys... if you can bring people in to your list. Work with them, really care about them and you'll see a big difference.

I'd rather have 10 people who are returning buyers time and time again, rather than trying to fish out a quick sale here and there to 1000 people.

I dare you... commit to helping those already on your list before jumping in and getting more traffic. ;-)
  • another thing I have learned is to survey your list. Ask them what they are interesting and then send them relevant content/promotions. People will appreciate that you actually care about them by sending them good valuable content. Therefore, they will gladly hand over there money simply because the product is good. I have also had people email me asking if they could by through my affiliate link because they like what I send them.

It seems like some people forget that those emails represent people and not just dollar signs.
