Don't be Stupid and Careless with Your Email Marketing Like I did Today

Went into my Aweber account. I have many different Lists with a number of Niches.

Just by chance on a lark I went to a old, very small but highly targeted list to look at the Dates.

On Email 58, I found the dreaded '999 Days later after the previous message.'

All this time I forget to edit the number of days so this List has NOT been receiving any of my Follow Ups after email 58 on up to email 95.

So this cost me Sales for sure while I was asleep.

Anyway, do not make this same careless mistake in your Email Marketing efforts.

Be sure and use diligence and take your time when building your List

Or else you will pay a "stupid Tax " like me

    I always advice my clients to enter their email address (create a Hotmail/yahoo account and filter the incoming email to different folders to see messages of one list in one folder) in the lists and see that they are receiving emails properly.

    Yes always put your own email into every mailer/autoresponder/etc. That way if something goes wrong, you are first to know.

    The best way I found to evoide those kind of problems is just test and retest the e-mail itself.

    Always, no matter how good you are, use another set of eyes on E-mails you send to your clients.

    I know I had my share of blunders... From broken links to misplaced images...
    But we live to fight another day! (or send another E-mail)

    Oh no!
    Make sure you add another one of your personal emails to the list so you can see how it is sending out.
    Before this, I would even send a test email before sending to your entire list!
