Email ebook to subscribers - HELP

Hi,

I'm about ready to publish my first ebook. I am going to use this as a reward for people subscribing to my blog. Was just wondering if someone could help me out in being able to have the ebook automatically sent to someone who subscribes, so i don't have to constantly send an email containing the book out.

    Just upload the book to your server and send the link where you uploaded it too in the email.

      Okay this is gonna sound stupid but can i customise the email that is sent to people when they subscribe. At the moment I think it's just a generic word press email. If i can where would I find that setting?

      It's just the stock standard one that comes with the word press page. I didn't do anything but subscribers get an email saying you have subscribed to this blog etc. Is there a program where i can do my own?

        You really need to change that, Jack, and use a proper, professional autoresponder. Right from the start. It's one of the very few things in IM that it really pays to "get right" immediately, to avoid problems later. You should probably be using either GetResponse or Aweber. You need a real autoresponder, not a thing built into WordPress.

        Don't send people e-books by email: they won't often reach in-boxes. You need to send out download links, and have the e-book hosted somewhere from which they can download it themselves.

        I think your site has great potential. And I think your natural writing tone/style is exactly right for your probable audience: you have a lot of potential to earn from this (from the list you're going to build, rather than from the pages of the site itself), with this, if you can get the right traffic.

          Thanks very much! This is all so new but I'm enjoying it 100%. I'm learning new things and getting some good experience which is good.

          I was going to write my ebook on word and export as pdf? Is that the correct method to do it? I have never done an ebook and surprisingly I struggled to find a guide that actually explained the technical side of writing one.

          I will look into changing the auto responder now! Only 2 subscribers so far so not much damage done
