AWeber Single Opt-In With LeadPages

Hi there,

I feel stupid here - probably something really daft I'm overlooking but anyway I've been trying all day so figured I'd pose the question.

Basically I used to be with AWeber in the past & I had LeadPages integrated, however I decided to try GetResponse out and moved over there. With GetResponse in order to enable single opt-in I had to add the HTML code to LeadPages via OfficeAutoPilot because they didn't allow single opt-in via API.

So now I've gone back to AWeber and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to go back to single opt-in.

On each of my lists I've gone into the settings and turned Required Opt-In on Web Forms OFF.

I tried that alongside integrating with LeadPages via the AWeber drop down & selecting my list - the subscriber was added to my list but was still asked to confirm.

Secondly I tried the OfficeAutoPilot method by copying the HTML code - here the subscriber was not added to my list at all.

Can anybody shed some light? I'm probably doing something stupid!

Much appreciated.

Hmmm actually I just noticed that using my OfficeAutoPilot method although the subscriber didn't get added to the list I received a confirmation email saying that a new subscriber had joined.

I'm guessing that because I've submitted a few via my IP that it's not actually adding the subscriber to the list and that my AutoPilot method is actually the correct one? I hope so anyhow.

UPDATE: Problem solved - my bad, the OfficeAutoPilot method works it was just a case of my IP being flagged by the system because I'd submitted a handful of opt-ins.

Now I feel super daft, doh!

Anyways hopefully this thread may prove to be useful to somebody else. Whoops.

    GetResponse? Huh?

Edit: Ohhh I see now, I guess you read my post up to line 5.

Also, not only did you not bother reading my post but you also provided wrong advice. If you actually go back & read my post it explains exactly how to disable GetResponse double opt-in without contacting them

I'm still struggling - OfficeAutoPilot didn't work so I integrates back to how you normally would yet it's still requiring confirmation - any ideas please?

Edit - finally figured it, just needed to turn "Alloy copy/paste" ON inside LeadPages integration area.

    Only took 6 hours!
