Using templates properly?

Hello everyone. I'm sorry if I've been posting too often, but I'm really trying to get high conversions, and there have been a few things that I've just assumed in the past without actually doing research on it.

I've always used the same template for every email in any given list. I did this with the assumption that when they open the email, they will instantly know where to look and that it's from me. My only concern is that it might be boring and my email address might be enough to show them who I am.

I'd just like to know other's opinions.

  • I use the same template each time, and I find if I change the subject line, my open rate changes even more than if I change the template.

Honestly, I think HTML email is overrated (even though I use it), but I think good and easily available information is more important than email design.
  • Stay consistent. Let your list get to know you and your clicks will become higher quality.
