An Email Marketing/List Building Beginner

Hi there, so I am a total newbie and have been reading around this forum for a few days now. While there is such a great wealth of information here, I am a little embarassed to say that I still do not understand alot of the fundamentals of Email Marketing and List Building.

I apologise if this has been asked already (I searched 10 pages worth of threads!) but could anyone please point a total newbie in the right direction? Where can I learn from bottom up, preferably for free (financially struggling) and as fast as possible. I don't care how long it takes I am determined to learn/implement and get results asap.

I would also like to insert a special thanks to Alexa Smith and Edwin Torres, I have been reading alot of your posts they are so helpful! I just wish to understand them more which I am unable to do right now with such a lack of knowledge

Thank you in advance!

I suggest that if you still can't find anything here (which I find to be somewhat impossible), then consider asking your questions on YouTube. You'll find plenty of tutorials and answers to questions there that will hopefully get you the information you're looking for.

Thank you for your reply. I will definitely try out Youtube again

I noticed on this forum that majority of the threads are for intermediate-pro users who atleast understand the fundamentals, terminology etc and know better what they are doing I guess I need to just keep trying harder!

Well definitely. I think rather trying to complete the whole process, just tune yourself to see what others doing. Are there things that you like the look of when other people email you? Do you have any followers that you like the idea of doing a similar way by yourself?

As you said "financially struggling" that would certainly be your best approach. You'll even find entire email marketing courses on there. But take things in step by step, and then gradually when you have a question about how to this... or this... then use YouTube to get that answer.

In most cases for new marketers, you'll most likely find everything you need to know. Just don't sit back and only do the learning process. Make sure that you implement it as soon as possible, keep moving forward and learn as you progress.

Hi Hikari, welcome to the WarriorForum!

Here are the basic steps/topics to look into when building a list, I may leave a few things out here...but this should get you started.

    1. Choose a profitable niche.

2.. You're going to need an autoresponder such as Aweber or Getresponse.

    3. With an autoresponder, you'll use this to capture emails combined with a squeeze page (there are other ways of capturing emails, however this is the most common method used).

    4. You'll need something called a "lead magnet" which is usually a free report, free audio series, an interview....specifically covering a topic your target audience may want to learn more about in order to solve a specific problem.

    5. Drive traffic to your page (another topic you'll want to learn more about).

    6. The emails you capture would be considered "leads" where then you would market to that list in hopes of converting them into a buyer.

    7. Read more about affiliate marketing, building a buyers list, conversion rates, providing value to subscribers, follow-up emails, etc. all of this can be found here on the WF.

I hope this is enough information to get you started!

    Best of luck.

Thank you so much for taking out time to write this! I'm actually feeling a little guilty now because this is stuff I already knew actually ha... Sorry about that. I know I said I'm a newbie, so it's my bad. I guess I should have clarified that I gathered all this from the forums already but need pointers on specifically HOW to determine if a niche is profitable, how to get my squeeze page hosted, all noob questions in general

Thank you anyway this is still very helpful!

I am already watching Youtube videos following your advice specifically on how to host a squeeze page, all the different options there are. Thank you again! I was initially reading what a few knowledgeable individuals had to say on this forum but quickly realized that's not the best approach. Sure they agree on some things, but on the whole everyone seems to have a personalized/differing way of gaining success.

Ultimately its what you said, I can spend a few more days of just reading and reading but implementation is the only way to actually get somewhere.

    Hi Hikari,

To launch an Email marketing business, you need to follow these steps:

1.Pick a profitable niche (your business field)

2.Have your lead magnet which is any helpful thing that you will give to your subscribers for free (free report, free video, free audio.....)

3.Sign up to any autoresponder service like GetResponse and Aweber.

4.Make your squeeze page where you will collect email addresses.

5.Collect information about your audience needs according to your niche and write the messages you will send to them.

6.Drive traffic to your squeeze page.
