Hello Friends ,

In email marketing , what works best for you.

To put 2 fields on squeeze page ''Name'' and ''Email Address'' or just one field ''Email Address'' ?What works best for your and why ?

Kindly share your views about it.

Depends on the market and your purpose for doing so.

Niches outside the IM market tend to respond better with their name on the email. Like parenting and relationship markets. Click rates are higher when I include their name on the email.

The novelty however of seeing your name on an email has wore off for people in the IM space and therefore will only make your email look funny because they are used to seeing squeeze pages (and yes they know why you're doing it) and they usually don't put in their real name.

There are many threads (including one only a day or two ago) discussing this exact question.

I've done both. I started off asking for names as well as email addresses, and then switched to "email address only". Like so many others, here, who have done the same, I benefitted greatly (in many niches) by not asking for the subscribers' names. One thing's pretty much for sure: all the people who started off askjing for names as well, and then switched to not asking, are not switching back!

I don't think it maters so much. I'd include both name and email address, but have the name as an optional field,
