List Building inside Amazon--Challenge

HI folks
If I have a product ON amazon, and people find it---
Basically I sell a product, and would love them to opt in too.

It's a physical product, so not an ebook.

How can I also get their opt in to a list?

Is it as simple as putting a free pdf offer and link inside the amazon description, or

maybe I offer a tips download and it has the opt in there.

Do you handle the product directly or dropship?

Amazon is very stingy and possessive about their customers.
You're not allowed any links anywhere, the system will sense and
strip them out. if you find a way around it and hack it, they will ban you.

About the only way you can give your buyers any info that I'm aware of, is to put
a leaflet or similar in the shipping materials if you're doing your own shipping.

You may be better off in concentrating how you can make more sales to them within Amazon.

If you control the packaging design of your product, maybe you can design the packaging to reflect your website. Amazon does not want you to have a relationship with "their" customers outside of Amazon.

Many sites that sell this way have that same attitude, I worked with one client who sold high end fashion scarves through third party sites, and she couldn't even put a receipt into the package to the customer.
