Building list for solo ads business and building list for promoting products

Hi warriors,

I'm building my list for solo ads business. But what I'm facing is building relationship with them and sending customers swipe to my list. I sending emails to my subscribers almot everyday and this may turn out to be bad for my list as spammer or irritate my subscribers.

How do you guys balance it? Or any good tip to balance it?

And those doing solo ads business, you guys still write quality content to your readers? Or just sending customers swipe? Or any good tips that can be helpful.

Thank you!

I sell and buy a lot of solo ads and personally these days I don't see how you can actually create relationship with your main list that you use for solo ads.
I mean its a chum and burn model.
You send them to squeeze pages everyday.
They are also on many lists like yours and its much harder to grab their attention.

What people do is make money from their solo ads list either by selling for traffic, and build good sales funnel that returns the investment as fast as you can.
The build relationship model works better with other traffic sources where people are not one so many lists.
You can test and send them free ebooks sometimes.
Personally I've tried sending content mails to my solos list and usually they dont click on it a lot or even mark it as spam lol.

I think a good example would be AppSumo.

Join their list and see how they balance promotion, relationship building, and sending out valuable content.

I seem to remember reading something about how they used to send one email per week, and then tested out sending them every day. When they reverted back to one email per week, people actually complained and asked them to send more emails.

So don't worry about how many to send based on what is "best practice." Test it for yourself. Once you have those relationships, people will tell you want they want.
