Making money with my list

Hello,

Over the last 10 years I have run multiple websites and built a list of about 48k subs. My niche however is not online marketing like most I see on this forum. Its for professionals in the wireless broadband industry. Think wifi, lte, wimax, 4g networks etc.

I am looking for ideas on how to really monetize my list. Right now I do ok with doing email blasts for vendors in my niche, occasional webinars, and a few banner ads on my site. But I want to actually create something and sell it to my subscribers.. rather than rent out my list. The challenge I have is that I am not a content creator. Just don't have the skills for that. Any ideas or suggestions on how to monetize my list would be greatly appreciated.

  • You are looking at it the wrong way man.

    You should be asking, how you give value to these people. You want them hanging out to get another email from you with a free book or something similar related to this niche. You really want to build the trust before offering a product. You say you want to create something, that is awesome, but give it to them for free and follow up with more great value and over the coming months this list will not only respect you, but a much greater number of them will be responsive to products you mention/promote.

    Don't sell to your list, give them value and the money will flow for a long time

    • Thanks. I do have a giveaway which has done well. Challenge is developing the actual content, words on paper. Also knowing what exactly my list wants.
