Is this a Realistic Plan?

Hello everyone. I am a current and have been a full time eBay/Amazon seller for the past several years. I make good money, but with very little freedom. So, I am looking to switch to or begin exploring something new.

Due to the freedom it can offer, I have decided to venture into email marketing. Here is my plan:

- I created an eBook explaining a simple method that anyone can use to research product sources for sale on eBay and Amazon.

- I created a squeeze page stating my experience and offering the free ebook for sign ups.

-I have bought a few solo ads and verified that my squeeze page is converting well enough.

-I created about 5 follow emails offering more info and pitching ebay related affiliate products.

The Plan:

-Buy more solo ads and keep sending out emails pitching affiliate offers and CPA offers.

-I dont really expect to start seeing sales until I get about 500 to 1000 subscribers.

Can someone with a little more experience tell me if I am headed in the right direction or if my plan is realistic? Any help or advisement would be appreciated via a reply or PM.

Thanks everyone.

Hi, your plan is pretty good. There are a couple things that you may wish to consider.

      1. I wouldn't launch anything without at least a 30 day AR series already written.

      2. You may wish to consider Bing PPC traffic as you can get it supper cheap and it will be targeted much tighter to your niche.
Solo sellers are going to have mostly Make Money Online general lists.

Sounds like a good plan to get started. I am also a reseller for amazon that is working on building an email list. I have wrote a few ebooks on amazon and ebay. Most of the WSO members are a lot more interested in how to build there list or make money online. Amazon and Ebay ebooks will still work on the forum, but not as well as online internet marketing courses. Most internet marketers do not want to leave their home to make money

Thanks everyone, Enfusia I was planning on having a 5 email follow up series to start and then begin sending broadcast emails pitching ebay WSOs along with CPA, Facebook and other info products. If an email performed well, I was going to add it to the sequence.

    Is this a good idea?

When should I start expecting sales? 500 - 1000 subscribers?

How cheap can I get subscribers on Bing? Paying about $0.50 pre click on solos. Comes to about $1.30 a subscriber.

    Thanks for the help.

      Hello RunMarty,
It sounds like a pretty solid Model to me.

I would shoot for 25 to 30 Follow Ups and thereafter recycle your best and most successful ones.

If the leads are targeted, then you will start making sales even after 20-50 leads. You say that you are going to get these leads from solo ad vendors. I want to say one thing and this is my own view:

I have tried solo ads in the past and building a list but the leads never bought anything from me and a lot of people never opened the emails I sent them. I think that if you get your leads/subscribers from pay per click engines like Google and Yahoo, they will be more responsive and you will make more sales.

This has been my experience so far. I get plenty of opt ins, but many do not even open the initial email and I haven't made a single sale after 230 opt ins.

Anyone got any advice for me on learning how to get cheap Bing clicks?

      Thanks everyone.

I agree with the others. Make your follow up email series 45 emails strong with mini articles about your niche in each one with a call to action for your ebook or just make a course. watch your email stat opemn rates and conversions with software and after 30 days find out which emails convert and which doesn't. Then rewrite those days emails or find your best converting email and replace them with the high converting email. I hope that makes sense. PM me and I can explain more. Thanks.

You don't have to have many emails written to start getting subscribers. You can let your subscribers shape your future emails for you.
For example, within the first email or two, ask your subscribers to tell you what they were expecting and what they were looking for.

When they ask you questions, you answer them, and add that to your sequence. By building it to your subscriber's concerns, you are shaping your next product. It answers the questions of your subscribers so you can expect lots of sales.

in the meantime, you are still writing content emails to meet their concerns to keep them reading and following you until and after your product release.

    It's just another option.

I plan on using Bing to get traffic because I think it will be more responsive subscribers than solos. Can anyone point me in the right direction regarding how to get cheaper clicks? And what should I consider cheap enough clicks and conversions?
