I tried the free version of MailChimp and never got anywhere with it (wasn't very user friendly).

I use GetResponse and Mailchimp. Both are pretty easy to use.

Mailchimp is free for up to 2000 subscribers so why not try it out and see how you like it. What I do not like about it is you cannot send an email to more than one list at a time. I may have an email I want to send to 4 different lists. With Getresponse no problem I send to all 4 with one send. With Mailchimp I have to send 4 emails.

Getresponse is by far easiest to use in my opinion.

Aweber is also very good but not as user friendly as Getresponse.

^ I agree, getresponse is a good option. Did you try it out yet? You have nothing to lose, since it has a free trial period.

Aweber comes with detailed instructions and trial period. Of course, there are few other options, but it really depends on the amount of emails you want to send.

I tried so many of them, but I recommend Aweber. I also use it almost 2 years...
I also use Getresponse. Getresponse is more user friendly, but on the end the most important thing is delivery to your customers inbox.
