Connecting Aweber To ClickBank

Question in regards to connecting my Aweber account to Clickbank via the apps/plugin option in Aweber.

I promote several clickbank products via e-mail as an affiliate and was curious if it's possible to have that customer get added to a new list within Aweber once they make the purchase from my affiliate link?

I followed the directions exactly as Aweber lays out in their video to connect Aweber with Clickbank but it doesn't do anything when I get a sale from Clickbank. Aweber support looked into it and says it should be possible and they don't know why it's not working and Clickbank says that it isn't possible since I am just an affiliate.

Anyone ever figured out how to automatically do this as I described?

Thanks

Nick

Maybe a programmer could better answer your question.

i dont think that you will get the email adresses from your promoted offers if the offer is not yours. the only way to get their email address is to use a landingpage with a optin form...

That's for vendor integration. Basically when a vendor makes a sale through CB the API / App that Aweber has can automatically add them onto a buyer's list.

This is interesting what you want to do and would be very beneficial. A crude way of doing it is to offer up a "bonus" if someone buys and have them email you a receipt. Once you get the receipt - move them.

Another way would be to work with the vendor and have them add some sort of code to the landing page (CB vendors can add multiple analytics codes to their order forms and thank you pages) and then based on a tracked conversion you can see who bought it.

Personally - I think you might be overthinking it. My list is pretty big now - I do have a buyer's list for products I've sold them (and I own). If they buy stuff through my affiliate link - I don't really track it.

I do prune the list for people who never bother to open.

you might have to use the email parser...
the plugin should be working, but if it isn't
that's all I can think of right now as an option.
