Quick question, guys. When your sending out a sales flyer (or any marketing material) to a prospect for the 1st time do you include the flyer as an attachment to the email or do you just embed it into the email?

I use to attach it to the email as I would mail dozens of prospects but then I was thinking maybe that's not such a great idea. Mainly because this is my first time reaching out to these people and they could be cautious about opening an attachment from an unknown sender, even though I include a paragraph in the email stating who I am, who I work for and the reason I am reaching out to them.

Any and all thoughts on attaching marketing material vs. embedding it in the email would be greatly appreciated.

  • Imbed it into emails, you will have a higher chance to get into inbox. And most people really do not want to open attachments from unknown senders.

    • You dont have a chance of inboxing with an email attachment like that.
I would always embed all your content into the email body.
  • Yes, definitely embed and in future emails you can embed PDFs for those that show interest.
  • Sending it as an attachment can make it easily get missed. I would personally embed it into the email at the top because then you stand a better chance of it being seen and noticed.
