The "Confirmation Email" Goes To The Spam Folder, What Can I Do?

Hello,

When I get a new subscriber in my list I believe the confirmation email to subscribers goes to the spam folder.

When I subscribe to my own list the emails were sent to my spam folder, the thing is that I noticed my subscribers need to verify the subscription and I want to change that, what can I do?

I'm using Rocket Responder and I know by reading and studying (doing my homework) that without a confirmation email I can end up building a bigger list of subscribers but a bigger percentage of them end up complaining of SPAM, unsubscribing and not buying... I'd rather have a small list with more buyers and less complainers.

Please offer any possible way to solve this.

Thanks in advance.

Number one! are you using a free email service like gmail hotmail etc.. Then this can be the reason.

Number 2. if you are using a self hosted email address, Consider buying an SSL certificate for site identification. and use a personal name email address like yourname@yoursite.com

Number 3: If you really want serious subscribers, then don't give them the gift until they have successufully confirmed their email address. Give your subscribers a reason to trust you.

For #1: it's a yes. I'm using a gmail address, it's the same I've used in Aweber before and didn't have this problem, I'm getting it now with Rocket Responder.

Number #2: I'd like to use a self hosted email address but then, don't know exactly how to get one. I believe have to buy a domain first and then set it up, right?

And #3: That's right. Only when they subscribe and confirm their emails they get the first email of the followup series with the link to download a free pdf ebook.

Thanks for the post, very helpful.

You need to send from your own domain for sure..

You can get a domain to use for your email from a web registrar like www.godaddy.com. Just head over there and search for a domain name that suits what you are offering and register it. From here you can then configure this to fwd to your gmail address if you like. Gmail also allows you to send from your custom domain if you want.

Alternatively if you are using hosting with someone like hostgator you can also get your domain, hosting and email in one package.

This should really help with deliverability

Is there a reason you moved from Aweber? You mention you didn't have a problem with them.. They do claim one of the highest deliverability rates so it might not be a bad idea to look to change back?

The price of his coaching is $15,000 split into monthly payments.

    He will teach me:

    1) Listbuilding (Tools and how to do it)
    2) Sales (networking & relationship building)
    3) Scaling up the business.

Just want your opinions ladies and gents please
$15k is too high. There are coaches who will get you great results for better pricing.

Typical coaching is about $3000 and with that you usually get one on one support, weekly webinars, access to a mastermind group and even more, a good coaching program will offer you a double money back guarantee. If he doesn't offer any guarantees, I would run away.

Modify and resend the email to yourself again and again. I have experienced this "spam" issue before and deleted some of URL in the email and it went to the "inbox" successfully. Sometimes there are some keywords that cause spam which I dont remember but I think keywords like "make money" or similar, will cause "spam".
