Better email marketing strategy

15 replies
Hi;

I have a question about 2 different businesses.

I give away 2 mini courses (1 gardening, 1 get Ex gf back) in the course of 10 emails in 10 days. I get them to opt in via Bing and then start hitting them with emails with links to mini course.

At the end of each video I offer them a $7 trip wire.

My 2 questions:
1 - If you're experienced, please advise how can I improve it in general? Since there are countless ways to change this, a bit of direction would be nice.

2 - What would be a better length for these 10 videos? 5 min each? 30 min each? I have tones to give a way. I believe get ex gf guys are easier to sell to but gardening guys won't buy easy.

Option 1 is to give them instant access to 20 tiny videos.
Option 2 is to give them access to 20 tiny videos, unlock 1 every day.
Option 3 is to give them 5 relatively longer videos (about 10 min each). 1 every day for 5 days
Option 4........

Thanks

    Hey, there are endless ways actually.

    But one thing for sure is to make the videos as small and intriguing as possible ( 3 - 7 mins )

    Unlock 1 video for a day or two seems the way to do it.

      Hi;
      Eben's videos are about 15 min.

    You could do one per day, but do the $7 trip wire to give them instant access to them all at any time.

      $7 to all videos for mini course?
      And then $67 for complete program?

        Yeah, this is called ending the free trial early. It is a good growth hacking tactic.

        You can still have the upsell to the full course, they are just getting access to the shorter videos faster than one a day that way.

          Yeh, after they opt in, I thought of showing them a 10 min video offering them tripwire and send them 1 email each day with link and credentials to their account where they see locked mini course (and every day a new one unlocks).

          This is a perfect strategy. It should work.

      I thought I send them to sales video and email them credentials so they login and see a page with thumbnails of all videos + 1 unlocked video.

    I am still insecure about it. I thought make it $37 instead of $67. Bad idea?

    Never underestimate the power of perception. I haven't purchased or seen your product but I had a similar product that was a ton of information, literally years and years of experience and I sold it for 5$...

    Sure I had a couple sales but It wasn't until I marked it up to about 50$ until I started seeing some real money in terms of sales volume. People subconciously believe that you get what you pay for... Price it higher my man, you got nothing to loose... Plus it will have more street cred if people knew it was higher priced then marked down. Or... Make the regular sales price 65$ and mark it down to 35$ a few times a year to promote it. People can't resist a deal.

    Maybe if their ex is worth 5$ to them, they'll buy it. If i really wanted my ex back.. I'd pay the 60$. She's worth it to me... except she hooked up with a maseus on a cruise ship.. Sorry... I mean "Massage Therapist"..
